[Main Stage] Runtime (r)evolution at Eclipse

EclipseCon 2009 has more than 250 technical sessions and tutorials for you this year but as there are only 55 calendar days to go, I just don't have time to tell you about each and every one. Fortunately for me, this year Scott Rosenbaum and the program committee created the Main Stage. The Main Stage talks are the "best of the bunch" - the best talk from each of the fifteen topic areas, all placed into the comfortable Theater. The first Main Stage talk (Tuesday, opening day of EclipseCon, right after the morning keynote) is:

Runtime (r)evolution at Eclipse

Jeff McAffer (EclipseSource)
Jeff is one of the powerhouses of Eclipse: key committer, inventor, project and PMC leader, author, council member, elected Board member, and more. Jeff continues to be a key player in the transformation of Eclipse from "just an IDE" into "a reliable and ubiquitous run-time platform". I'm excited about this talk because not only is Jeff technically sharp, he's also an excellent presenter and he's going to be talking about the exciting state of Eclipse run-time technologies. While other Main Stage talks will cover future technologies, Jeff's talk is about what is available right now, today, out of the box both open source and from the Eclipse ecosystem.

This is a don't miss talk, so be sure to register today and mark your calendar for this talk...
